Dermal fillers & Boosters

Dermal fillers are gel-like compounds injected under the skin to enhance facial contours, regain lost volume, and reduce facial lines and skin folds.

What you should know?

Dermal fillers are made of a variety of substances, however the most popular and safest are made of hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a naturally occurring substance found in our skin that is able to hold water and acts as a sponge. This in turn hydrates the skin resulting in a youthful, supple and elastic appearance. HA fillers are the fillers of choice for many doctors as it is a natural substance found in the skin, and it is unlikely that anyone will have an allergic reaction from it. Dermal fillers are categorized by type according to the concern they target, such as a thicker filler to contour the cheeks and augment the midface or a smoother filler for the delicate lip area.  Some common treatment areas and indications for dermal fillers include volume loss in cheeks, jawline, chin and temples, thin lips, under eye hollows and nasolabial folds and wrinkles. During the procedure, the filler injected with a small needle or blunt cannula. As it is premixed with local anaesthetic agents, the procedure is minimally painful though the lip area requires some local anaesthetic cream applied prior to treatment as it is a sensitive area. Results are immediate and can last anywhere between 12 to 18 months depending on the filler used. At Dr Jasmine clinic, we will customize your treatment based on what is best suited for you so that you look and feel your absolute best.

Radiesse

What you should know?

Radiesse is an injectable filler. It works immediately and is a highly sought-after choice for dermal filling. This filler initially does all the work of filling in the volume you want but as time goes on, it stimulates your own naturally-occurring collagen, allowing your skin to produce more of its own filler. Eventually, it is absorbed back into your body, leaving your collagen in its place. Because of the science behind Radiesse, treatment results can last for well over a year — even up to two years for some people. First, your doctor will determine where you need to receive the injection. After that, your doctor will decide on your dosage. Finally, your doctor will inject Radiesse using a small needle with some local anesthesia to ease any pain you may feel during the procedure. You can expect immediate improvement in the treated skin although full results will be experienced within a week. Treatment with Radiesse may be repeated every 18 to 24 months.
